Description:
As a PPI Business System Specialist II at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will support continuous improvement initiatives and develop a culture of operational excellence. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will manage process improvement projects that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve customer experience. You will facilitate Kaizen events, value stream mapping, and other lean methodologies while providing training and support to develop continuous improvement capabilities across the organization. This role offers the opportunity to create positive change by implementing data-driven solutions that help make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
Requirements:
Strong knowledge of lean tools including value stream mapping, 5S, visual management, standard work, and root cause analysis
Experience leading cross-functional improvement projects and Kaizen events
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills with ability to identify opportunities and implement solutions
Project management capabilities to guide initiatives from conception through implementation
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for presentations
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across all organizational levels
Ability to develop and deliver training/coaching on continuous improvement methods
Experience with change management and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality systems preferred
Track record of achieving measurable operational improvements and cost savings
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities
Commitment to continuous improvement and positive change
Education:
Advanced Degree, no prior experience required, or Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of experience implementing process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen)
Preferred Fields of Study: Engineering, Business, Science, Operations Management, or related field
Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred
PPI Business System certification/training preferred
