Logistics and Facility Control Specialist at EACOWT!

OneWeb Technologies dba EACOWT is looking for a highly organized and proactive Logistics and Facility Control Specialist to join our team at our Houston, TX teleport! If you thrive in fast-paced environments, enjoy overseeing logistics operations, and have a sharp attention to detail, this role is for you.


In this position, you’ll be at the heart of managing inventory control, shipment processing, and facility maintenance, ensuring smooth operations across domestic and international logistics. From coordinating equipment shipments worldwide to handling facility upkeep, your efforts will be essential to our seamless operations.


Located at Ellington Field, Joint Reserve Military Base, this role requires US Citizenship and being able to reach the facility within 45 minutes. This is an IN-PERSON position.  If you have the skills to manage logistics and contribute to daily facility operations while collaborating across departments, we want you on our team!


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Receive, sort, and distribute physical shipments and correspondence from all approved vendors.

  • Pick, pack and ship inventory against approved sales orders and task orders with an identified value.

  • Coordinate and execute the shipment of equipment throughout the world.

  • Coordinate freight estimates for complex domestic and international shipments to ensure cost-effective, safe, and efficient transportation of company’s products.

  • Create shipping documents including packing and load lists and vendor shipping labels.

  • Execute inventory control, data collection, and reports supporting program objectives.

  • Communicate logistics status with suppliers, shippers, customers, and internal parties.

  • Comply with customs, export, foreign trade/importation regulations.

  • Provide shipping metrics input to Logistics Manager for timely record-keeping and invoicing.

  • Perform minor facility maintenance including all buildings, parking lots, antenna infrastructure, and grounds.

  • Coordinate with and facilitate support from facility maintenance and security vendors.

  • Coordinate access requests with base security; escort vendors and deliveries onsite as needed.

  • Perform daily clerical duties of maintaining records, preparing purchase requests, invoices, and receipts.

  • Resolve problems with suppliers to maintain production requirements.

  • Work closely with sales and finance departments to ensure order and invoicing accuracy.

  • Update and maintain vendor files.


EDUCATION AND KNOWLEDGE


  • 2 – 4 years of experience in supply/logistics.

  • Experience with NetSuite Management Systems is a plus.

  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems is a plus.


OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • The ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple, simultaneous performance objectives is a must.

  • Highly organized and self-motivated.

  • Exercise sound judgement when completing tasks and problems/situations that differ and use creativity to develop optimal solutions.

  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

  • Ability to work independently, and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Work is primarily performed in office and warehouse environments.
