Opportunity Description

Purpose and Scope


This position will provide electrical maintenance and technical leadership to Faircrest Steel

Processing departments, production supervisors, production and reliability associates,

and continuous improvement. The associate in this position will be the recognized

electrical expert in regard to maintenance and reliability of steel processing equipment and

will use the electrical expertise to develop best practice technology to continue to improve

steel processing operations. This associate will direct and coordinate reliability

efforts through the use of preventative, predictive, and proactive maintenance making use

of various technologies and using the best practice to continually improve steel processing

reliability procedures and methods.


Responsibilities


  • Develop equipment that is adequately maintained and operational to meet departmental operating goals and tactics within business plan periods and capitol and operational budget constraints.

  • Provide assistance and indirect supervision of short and long range planning in processing departments to include maintenance days, downturns, and extended shut downs.

  • Provide guidelines and specifications for contracted services and balance workload between internal and external personnel to achieve the quality workmanship in a timely manner at best business case.

  • Provide preventative, predictive, and proactive maintenance programs through the use of equipment specific information including past history, failure analysis, and infrared technology expertise acquired from reliability associates in the steel processing group and business units. Utilizing all pertinent vender information, supplier presentations, and various Association meetings and seminars to support the success and effectiveness of these maintenance programs.

  • Utilize the efforts of safety, engineering, purchasing, environmental, and other departments to update existing equipment or add new equipment to continually improve the production process of Steel Processing for quality products and safe working conditions.

  • Provide technical expertise in establishing priorities for equipment maintenance and  recommendations for repair verses replacement to minimize delay time and increase utilization, production through put, and return on capitol investments.


Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma with at least 7 years of electrical experience in manufacturing operations or maintenance
