Role Description

This is an internship role as an Information Technology – Business Analyst and Application Developer, with a later opportunity to transition to a full-time employee. This hybrid role is located in The Woodlands, TX, with the possibility of working from home for some tasks. Fully remote work status will be considered for candidates on a case-by-case basis. As an IT Application Developer & BA, you will be part of a major software transformation that is occurring at BEI utilizing various technologies and collaborating with in-house and near-shore IT resources.

Qualifications

• Proficient at full-stack application development.

• Experience developing both web/cloud and desktop-based applications.

• Understanding of basic data security principles required in development of internally or externally facing enterprise software applications.

• Demonstrates ability to communicate with stakeholders effectively and excels at conceptualizing the "ideal end product".

• Basic knowledge of AI Agents, Robotic Process Automation, and other automation tools, their use cases, and best practices.

• Experience and understanding of critical development principals including various SDLCs

• At least 2 years of experience in several or all of the following critical technologies utilized in our current technology stack in a professional environment:

  • Cloud Infrastructure (AWS or Azure)

  • Digital Ocean

  • C# .NET

  • Python

  • Alpine JS

  • MySql

  • Git, Azure DevOps

  • OpenAI

  • Twilio & SendGrid API

  • Django

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Bachelor's degree or greater in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred but not required.

• Ability to work collaboratively in an office environment, and independently in a remote environment as needed.

• Experience in the aggregates, concrete, logistics or procurement industries are a plus.

• Bilingual (English, Spanish) is a plus but not required.

Travel

Some travel up to 10% to satellite locations, engagement with project stakeholders on-site may

be required.
