We are seeking a skilled Senior Systems Administrator to manage and optimize our cloud  infrastructure across multiple platforms. This role is responsible for the deployment,  configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of cloud-based systems and services. The ideal  candidate will have strong technical expertise in cloud technologies, automation, and system  administration, with a focus on ensuring high availability, security, and performance of our cloud  environment.

Role: 

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

• Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure Cloud Platforms

• Manage virtual machines, containers, storage systems, and networking components in cloud
  environments

• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or
  ARM templates

• Monitor cloud resource utilization and optimize costs through rightsizing and resource management

• Ensure compliance with cloud security best practices and organizational policies

System Administration & Automation:

• Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis, and resolution.

• Administer Linux and Windows servers in hybrid environments

• Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar technologies

• Implement configuration management using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef

• Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions for cloud-based systems

• Perform system updates, patches, and security hardening procedures

Monitoring & Performance Optimization:

• Implement comprehensive monitoring solutions using CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or similar tools

• Configure alerting and notification systems for proactive issue identification

• Analyze system performance metrics and implement optimization strategies

• Troubleshoot complex system issues and coordinate resolution efforts

• Maintain system documentation and runbooks for operational procedures

Security & Compliance:

• Implement and maintain cloud security policies and access controls

• Manage identity and access management (IAM) roles and permissions

• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability remediation

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements

• Coordinate with security teams on incident response and forensic activities

Education & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

• Cloud certification preferred: AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, or
  Google Cloud Professional

• Linux certification (RHCE, LPIC) or Microsoft certification (MCSA/MCSE) preferred

Technical Skills:

• 6+ years of experience in system administration with at least 3 years in cloud environments Proficiency with major cloud platforms (AWS ,Azure Government)

• Strong Linux and Windows server administration skills

• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Knowledge of networking concepts including VPCs, subnets, load balancers, and DNS

• Scripting experience in Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar languages

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities

• Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences

• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to operational excellence

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

• Knowledge of Snowflake cloud-based data warehousing platform

• Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools (ELK stack, Splunk, Datadog)

• Background in cybersecurity and compliance frameworks (NIST SP 800-171, CMMC 2.0, NIST SP 800-53, RMF)

• Experience with serverless technologies and microservices architectures
