Opportunity Description

The Collections / AR Specialist is responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding invoices, resolving billing issues, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external customers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • AR reports and updates on accounts status

  • Auto Dialer collections

  • Mailing overdue letters

  • Submitting NTOs and Liens

  • Send accounts to collections

  • Identify accounts for suspending service

  • Maintain daily communications with customers and arrange for payment

  • Address account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, customer support, and haulers

  • Collecting and posting payments to accounts: Credit card, checks, and ACH payments


Who/what we’re looking forQualification Requirements:

  • 1+ years proven AR and collections experience

  • Strong workflow management, ability to maintain multiple workstreams at once

  • High attention to detail; we’re a high-volume business with several accounts to reconcile

  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills

  • Ability to manage sensitive customer interactions

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with those in the organization

  • Strong computer/technology skills, including MS Office products, Word, Excel, Outlook

  • Professional written and verbal communication skills

  • Account reconciliation experience and ability to interface with financial accounting team


Additional desirable experience a strong plus:

  • Waste Service and Construction AR

  • HubspotZendesk or other customer service ticketing system

  • Liens
